i often get a little bit confused on how much to tip someone like the person who cuts your hair, driver of shuttle van who helps w/luggage, bell hop who assists w/carrying luggage to your room, or when they store your luggage after its check out time and youre not ready to leave the area yet. How about carry out personnel. We often visit a restaurant that auto. charges their tip. is that acceptable.

Haircut: If you like your haircut tip well. I usually tip between $5 and $8 and show my appreciation with repeat business. If it's just a trim, a few dollars will do.
Shuttle Driver: From hotel to airport- 1 or 2 dollars for a shuttle that regularly goes to the airport.
Bellhops- no idea b/c well, I have arms and can carry my own luggage!
Carryout Servers are usually regular servers taking their turn working the to-go door for the night which means that they are being paid a mediocre hourly sum and probably loosing out on lots of money- If they are prompt and offer you a drink while you're waiting tip at least a few dollars. Delivery people should get a tip for hiking up all those flights of stairs to deliver your steaming hot pizzas.
I hate it when places automatically charge a tip and unless the server goes way above and beyond I don't tip more than they already charged me for a service that should be paid how I feel it should be paid. I also let the restaurant know that I don't like that kind of tipping system. I usually tip very well, but get irritated when I'm forced to tip. Hope this helped.
