I would recommend keeping them together if they have bonded. Cats WILL get depressed if they lose their playmate.
Taking care of two cats is really no different than taking care of one...and honestly, two cats don't take up much more space than one cat.
Keep them together if you possibly can!

I would find it hard to believe that keeping the second cat would be that big of a problem, except for the Landlord aspect. Cats do not take up much room. They sleep most of the time, and require very little space. I would think it a problem for the cats to separate them. They may not bond to anyone separated. I have two shop kitties who I thought hated each other. One day I took one in for spay, and the other spent the whole day looking and calling for her. When I brought her back in the carry cage, I left her inside do to her grogginess. When I came to check on her at 3 am, the other cat was sleeping on top of her cage. She was still there at 8 in the morning. Two weeks later the same results when I had the second Kittie spayed. I guess I'm trying to say, yes, it could be very devastating to the cats separating them. Please think hard about this before you decide. I'm sure you will reach the best decision

Keep them together, they'll play together and stay out of your hair until you want to join in and play...
seperating them will only make you have to pay more attention to the single cat when it wants to play, but by having the other cat there you dont need to worry about them being lonely nor having to spend too much time with them even when your home
keep them together, you'll be fine and I think you feel better about it, I have two cats and aside from cleaning the litter box the only hassle is taking them into the vet to get checked lol
good luck hope it works out

Please try to keep them together if it's at all possible. I had to seperate my cat from her playmate a couple of years ago when I moved and she was very depressed for a long time. Yes, she did eventually come out of it, but it was horribly sad to watch. Even though I know I didn't have any other choice at the time, I still regret doing it and would love to reunite them someday if I have the chance. Two cats are really not that much more trouble than one, so please give it a chance.

Try to keep them together if possible. They will get depressed. They are like kids, if you have the option keep them both, at least thier cats and not dirty animals, if they are both litter trained then you really don't have to do much maintenance, just love them and feed them. Good luck.

If you can't find someone to take both, don't worry, they will get along just fine with out each other. Cats are very very independent.

I have two cats in a tiny one bedroom apartment. They do great. I think that you should keep them.

Don't ever break up the friendships of cats, its like your parents telling you you cant have any friends because it is in their best intrest. Don't seperate them. Please don't. <3Cats<3
