Pretty Lady ... I hope you'll let me offer my answer even though I don't have Vista. I simply wanted to say that I intend to avoid it. Although I've read a couple of good things about it from authoritative sources, I've read more bad about it than good. I'm not saying it's a bad operating system, but for what it offers, I don't think the cost of upgrading is worth it to me.

My system presently works fine with Windows XP and SP2 installed. However, it's a three-year-old system with somewhat modest power. Although it works well as an XP system, Vista would cripple it, I'm sure. Furthermore, I already have most of the tools offered by Vista that I need. Therefore, for me to upgrade would not make sense; the costs, the time to adjust, and the fact that it would give me very little that I don't already have/need makes getting Vista a "No-Go" for me. Keep in mind, though, that your situation might cause you to arrive at a different conclusion.

I could go on and on, but I guess you just wanted some general impressions. At this point in time, I'm not going to upgrade.
