Through meditation, it is the best way to do it. You can find literature explaining different methods on contacting your guide. You may have one or a multitude of them - it depends how much help you need in this life.

The best method i found is by sitting down, cross legged, closing my eyes and visualising breathing in white light. This will help you cleanse your mind and clear it. When you have entered deep within yourself, ask for your guide to appear or give a sign. Different people have different experiences when contacting their guide. Some feel them - they are called clairesentient, some see them - clairevoyant, some hear them - claireaudient, etc. Probably your guide is already contacting you through flashes of ideas and images?

as spirit guides are of course spirit ... then one would have to have mediumistic abilities to communicate
however i do feel that anyone can develop this if they wish to and with the right training
i will say though that there may be a difference in terminology with what is meant by spirit guide
as i understand it everyone has a spirit guardian but spirit guides are for mediumistic development
so perhaps if you are looking for information of your guardian you may wish to visit with a medium if you are not wishing to develop in that area yourself

I have managed to access my spirit giude before, but i seem to have lost touch in the last while. The other day i was meditation and i felt the presence of a her, the female energy that was trying to pull me out of my physical body. It just takes deep meditation and belief. You really have to let go.

spirit guide is a term that has so many meanings these days that I honestly cannot guess what you mean.

more important than any external helper, by any name, is the quiet still voice within you.

Regardless of which religion you follow or claim to follow, taking time to listen to your "gut" is a worthwhile exercise.

Do you have a naturopath in the area where you live? They can usually put you in touch with a shaman who can help you with this.
Blessings Also, you could search shaman's in and around your area.....
Sorry, Pangel, yes a medium is a good person to consult with as well.
