I don't think it does these days. I've been dying my hair for about 25 years - not always the same colour or the same make, usually whatever is on special offer in Boots! But my hair is in good condition, i get it cut regularly and my hairdresser always comments on how good it is.

Yes it does only if you use a good conditioner for dyed hair it will delay the damage I have dyed mine for years I have it cut regularly use a good conditioner and I also take vitamin supplement for hair skin and nails, I have very thick hair my sister who is lots older than me hasn't and dyeing her hair has made it thinner so eventually it will damage.

yes, but nothing like it used to. In just the past 5 years hair color has become a lot more advanced. Now, you can safely color your hair regularly for the rest of your life with out burning or losing it. Just get it done, dont do it at home a lot.

only if you are stripping your natural hair colour, bleaching and blonds shades. If you are adding colour to you hair, then you need an ammonia free product. that well be enriched with conditioners. Your hair will probably look and feel in better condition.

I've been using the over the counter box colors for almost 20 years and my hair is in pretty good shape! I get it cut every 6 weeks and deep condition it all the time.

Yes it does.
The chemicals inside of the products to dye/colour your hair damage it.

I think it depends it you maintain it - depends on your type of hair aswell i have mixed white with black caribbean hair as it is tough to look after my highlights as i have to keep treating it every two weeks.

If you want to do it then go for it just be sure first - it took me about 2 years to decide.

Good luck

Yes, but so does shampooing and blow drying and almost everything else. It's OK to dye your hair. It won't fall out or feel like straw. It will be fine.

Well it can dry your hair out and will make your hair become dull and not shiny.

i have colored my hair only a few times but now i've decided to stop as my hair is getting darker so i don't want to look stupid i'm growing mine out now and continueing to cut it evry 6-8weeks so it dosen't look frizzy and stuff.
