I heard french kissing is the same thing as oral. Although, a few of my friends have french kissed someone and they consider themselves virgins because they haven't had intercourse. So if you french kiss someone are you still a virgin?

Sweetie...you are definately still a virgin if you french kiss someone. Even oral is still a virgin...medically speaking you are a virgin until you have been penetrated, and your hymen is broken yes there are things that can break it early too, like horseback riding etc but you get the idea.
Now...if you don't feel comfortable talking about this with your mom, then I suggest going to the school counselor or your doctor...to get a better understanding.

If you haven't had intercourse, then, yes, you are still a virgin. But depending on your religious background, to be completely free of anything like that could be the only way they see it as still a virgin.
