yes, BUT she has to inform INS that she is leaving so that she doesn't lose her status when she does. It won't be held against her since you are on orders.

I'm surprises you got orders overseas in the first place if what you are saying is true. You need to talk to the office that gave you your orders. They may not know the status of your spouse. You need to pass an overseas screening before you go anywhere so you need to get things squared away soon before you get too messed up.

Yes, but only maximum of 3-6 months, depending on what country in her citizenship. In most Central American countries its 6 months. If you pass that amount, with out any reason approved by the US Embassy to wherever your going then she can lose her residency.

Hope this helps, enjoy your trip.

It is correct that she can always leave for a certain period of time before she has to come back. But check the visa requirements, as she will probably need a visa to visit most countries if her passport is not from the US. Have her call or visit the embassy of the country you want to visit to get a visa.

if she is a lawful permanent resident then she will be allowed to get out of the country BUT not more than a year... Try calling the homelang and security if there is an exception for your case... I think they will allow it...

I don't think it will be a problem... Just that will need to go and ask for extended permise to satya in that host country thats all.

no problem, as long as she does not leave the country for more than six month.
