I've been with my boyfriend for one month & a half (We used to know each other when we were 15, 4 years ago but hadn't spoken since, as I moved) Now we are together, but he says he works one week then has one off - and plays football every evening...But my friend said its not normal for someone to have football practice every evening & matches ... (We are 20 years old - so its not a school thing, its just for fun, for a team)
But his working means one week i wont see him wed, thu, fri, and sat - well he can stay over on a saturday but he leaves for footie well early - like 9....I don't get it...He texts me all the time tho, that doesn't indicate he's cheating does it ? And he calls me...
But the working one week on, one week off & footie every night, does it seem suspicious ??

Honestly it doesn't matter if he's cheating on your or not. The bottom line is he isn't giving you what you need and want and that is more of his time. Text messages and phone calls are nice, but they do not replace physical touches and kisses and spending quality time together. What is the point of having a boyfriend if you never get to see him? Tell him while you understand he has to work, the football every night and the only spending one night together and then he's up and out, isn't working for you. Tell him you could have had a V8 and you are not a hooker. If he can't make room in your life for both you and the football, one of you will have to go. However, you had better make sure you want to accept that he may choose the football over you - but then again, isn't he already doing that? Good luck.

Yeah this does seem a bit strange to be playing football as often. However, you say that he texts you all the time and phones you so this is a dead cert that he's not cheating as he wouldn't be texting you all the time if he was. Does he talk a lot about football and watch lots of footy? If so, it seems like he's just simply obsessed with it and loves it, but that doesn't mean to say that he doesn't love you too. Try suggesting that you go along with him and watch sometimes? It sounds like he just loves football though, and nothing to worry about.

What does he do for a living? It might be perfectly normal to work one week on and one week off. As for the footie practise, it depends what sort of team he's playing for, it does seem a bit odd but it doesn't make it a lie. Have you talked to him about it or if that won't work, maybe drop the odd question in so he doesn't think you're interrogating him and see if you can work out whether he's telling the truth.

Well, if you're suspicious, then call him on it. Act like you care about his football. Tell him that you would like to come watch him play sometime. You're just being a supportive girlfriend, right? So, if football's a front, you'll catch him on it.
If he's really telling the truth, you didn't get caught at all. All he's going to think is that his girlfriend likes watching him play football.

It seems funny but you have to understand he is a man and they love sports . It may seem like he has another girl but he could be playing football . Just keep your eyes open and you will see . If you are not happy with the results you see then move on . Follow him someday with someones car he don't know and have that person drive and see whats really going on . GOOD LUCK !!!!

He's playing football alright, her foot on his balls. Ask where he is playing and come watch him a few random times. This should clear things up real fast.

I checked your picture. You are very nice looking. He must be either an idiot, or quite the player to keep you on such a tight string. Find out for yourself. If he suddenly quits "football" drop the two timer.

dont over think it to much. trust is something that is built in time. ask him to let u come watch practice once in a while just for fun. or a game or two. that way u see what hes doin. and u feel better about it. if it becomes a wierd fight over something so small as u wanting to watch and be supportive of his hobbies. then there may be a problem

It does kinda seem suspicious. I'm sorry, but try and ask him to stay with you in the evenings for once. Tell him a "for fun" match shouldn't be as important as spending time with you. If he makes up some gay excuse, then.... Sucks

Yes... don't worry - he will just be out scoring.

Update: by they way.... for first few answers below.... I think its massively weird someone is playing football so often for fun most evenings. Something is not right there unless he's planning on becoming a pro.

I just saw your answer to another question prior to reading your question. If you answered truthfully, then no I don't think he is cheating on you. I mean everyday and sometimes 5 times a day. Where would he find the time or strength. :)

Take care.
