Can a man and a woman with mutual liking of eachother have casual sex, without getting caught up with feelings? Some say sex is not as good unless feelings are involed, so if that is the case is it worth it?

Personally, I don't want sex unless I have feelings for the person. Not everyone feels that way though. I need to be emotionally involved and fulfilled before I want sex!

i have a friend that from time to time, we get physical. very odd relationship in the fact that we were never boyfriend/girlfriend, at first we hated each other. i still don't know how it happened, but in time we became acquaintances. after a few years we became pretty good friends. i've known her since 1993 to give an idea how long we've known each other. anyway, we got to hanging around each other on a daily basis so i developed a little crush on her. never did anything.

we grew apart for a while because i didn't know she was pregnant. after about a year or so she was back. still nothing, but i could tell she was into me although i was pretty much over her.

anyway, whatever you want to call it, we've been conjugal, no words, no i love you's, just somehow happens. and no it's not everytime, it just sort of happens, and the thing is, when it's over, no goodbyes or i wish i could just stay here. wierdest thing, but that's how we are.

so somehow it is possible.

I think sex as a basic need. So you can explain a casual sex to satisfy a basic need. And in this cases it is worth. But if you have sex with a person who you love is much better.

Sometimes, when a person is not involved in a serious relationship, a little casual sex with a friend is awesome.

well.....if you like each other and are friends then feelings will be involved to a degree.....not many people can handle a casual sex relationship though.....one person always seems to end up getting hurt

Yes. Sex for recreation is fun, and can be great. Sex with love is great as well, in a different way.

Heck, even hate enhances sex. Screw someone you hate some day (With their consent, of course). It's incredible.

i think women will answer one way, and men another.
The last encounter I had with casual sex, was a lot of fun, and because we enjoyed "each other" so much, it became a frequent event. then of course, i started falling for him. I kept it quiet, cuase i didn't want to mess up our arrangement... not long after I fell for him, he fell for me as well...and now 2 years later, i am luky enough to have married him....

You can totally do it.. You just have to cut-off emotions and both people should have a mutual understanding that its just a hook-up.. I think its easier for guys to do this as opposed to girls because girls are so emotional, but not all..
