Its tough man.

1. Networking thru you r people that are already their

2. Try US Company in india nad then L transfer visa, and then H1B

3. Try getting in school in US for couple years (Get yourMS for example). Its easier onse you are here, Plas grad degree from USA - No cap for H1B's (They reserve 20000 for them).

Hope that helps.

Filings to Begin April 2 for Fiscal Year 2008 Quota of H-1B Visas

Because April 1, 2007, falls on a Sunday, the first day the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS") will accept H-1B petitions to be counted against the fiscal year 2008 H-1B quota is Monday, April 2, 2007.

The H-1B quota was reached in late May last year, and it is anticipated that the quota will be reached earlier this year. In fact, many experts believe that the cap could be reached within a few days after April 2, 2007. Therefore, companies should make every effort to ensure that their H-1B petitions are mailed on Friday, March 30, 2007, for receipt by USCIS on Monday, April 2, 2007.

Employers should identify as soon as possible, potential employees for whom an H-1B petition will be necessary so that the petition may be prepared in advance of the recommended April 2 filing date.

The employment start date may be no more than 6 months from the date of filing the H-1B petition, and in no event earlier than October 1, 2007.

A special exemption is available for 20,000 additional H-1B petitions for beneficiaries who received an advanced degree from U.S. universities. Last year, this exemption ran out in late July of 2006, and it is expected to run out far earlier this year. Therefore, employers planning to file H-1B petitions for workers with U.S. advanced degrees should also prepare to file such petitions on April 2, 2007, or as quickly thereafter as possible

No US company sponsors H1B visa to any outsider. They don't have time to do that. Your best bet would be send your resume to Tata Consultancy Services. If you have the qualification and experience they will take care of the rest. Good Luck.

Try www.Monster.com I have friends who are just like you that were able to find jobs over here.

One trick you could use is look for tech companies in the area you want to move in and look at the names of the owners. There are a lot of businesses over here that are in software that are owned by immigrants like yourself. Glad to have you.

Also try posting your ad on www.craigslist.com to see if you get any bites. This is a free classified ads over here, you can post and search for free and they have everywhere in the US and a lot of places around the world.

Good luck in your search. to tell the truth the market is tough for network engineers, make sure you have a job lined up before you come over. Then approach the US Embassy and apply for a work Visa, and if you want to stay you then apply for US Citizenship, which gives you full rights.

Just submit your resume to the big named companies in the US.
Such as GE or Phillips online!

Perhaps you could try for an India position for a US company and then when they call you in for an interview, tell them your true intentions with the company...From there, they could point you in the right direction or you could work your way over.

Or, do like most people, and get married to an American.

Why don't you try contacting a few contract agencies? They hire you, and get you your visa and then you work for other companies. Then after awhile you can quit and go freelance.
