They're young so probably still setting up house together so no doubt they have either registered for gifts or guests will naturally buy them something for their home. But I suggest you try something a little different, how about a post Wedding Day Spa Treatment for couples, it's romantic and relaxing, may be just what they need after unwrapping all those toasters!

Find out where they are registered, then get them something you can afford from their registry. Couples create registries at various specialty and department stores for this very reason. If they aren't registered anywhere, get them a gift card to someplace like Target, Ikea, Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, etc. where they can purchase things they will need for their new home together. Don't worry about getting the perfect sentimental and heartfelt gift. When you get married, people give you so much stuff you don't know what to do with it. You can add some sentimentality by putting it in a nice card with a hand written note. Tell them you wanted them to get something they really need and want and weren't sure what others had already given them. That is after all, the biggest problem with buying wedding gifts to begin with - too many people buy you a toaster and no one got you a vaccum. Like I said, this is why wedding registries were invented. Her parents or someone in the wedding party will know where they are registered if you don't want to ask her personally, so try and consult their gift registry first.

Gift card to stores like Bed, Bath and Beyond--Linens n' Things--Even cheaper, department stores for some items.
Sometimes the bride and groom "register" in one or more stores--if so, you can buy a gift from the list at the store--and will be sure that no one else has already bought that gift.
As someone already mentioned, money is always appreciated.
If they are not registered anywhere, don't get things like kitchen appliances--there are most likely going to be duplicates and triplicates of those gifts.

Money of a gift card to a store like Wal-mart or Target. That way if theres a duplicate it doesn't matter. Most couples want money anyways to put away towards a house or home furnishings or repairs
