The law states that women have the right to breastfeed wherever they are allowed to be. Basically, if you are allowed to go to this place, than you are allowed to breastfeed there. I doubt the people watching were doing so to gain any sexual gratification, if that makes you feel better. It's hard for men to see a child nurse and think about sex at the same time. Keep breastfeeding that baby!

I have experienced this same phenomenon. I have a 4 month old baby and i feed her in public when necessary. Don't listen to people who ask you to feed the baby in a bathroom, cover up etc. You are not flashing people, they could see more breast on prime time network TV. I find objections to public BF ridiculous. If you want to check out the BF laws, go to this page: http://llli.org

La Leche League has all sorts of info about laws, which i think vary according to where you live.

Seriously. You thought you could pull your breast out and that the male species wouldn't look? You have every right to feed your baby in public but if you don't cover up you can expect men, women and children are going to look.

I think you did it for shock value for breast-feeding is still a kind of tabboo and still a form of exhibitionism..and you know I am right. I breast fed my daughters when out in public, but I was very discreet..I used a blanket over my shoulder and I found as private a bench as I could see. I used the waiting rooms in the Ladies restrooms to sit and nurse..being cooded over by other women just causes conversation to begin. The only man I allowed to see me in all my glory was my husband and that was a form of pride for him. You need to rethink why you felt it was so neccessary to be so blatant in this public display of motherhood.

Your picture shows that you are an exhibitionist. Be a little more discreet and people won't stare at you when you breast feed your baby. It is nothing but natural to breast feed, but cover your self with a baby blanket. And don't wear short skirts and spread your legs so men can see everything you have.

Let's face it Nicole, men are pigs. Since the beginning of time, men has been overly curious about a woman's body. What exactly fascinates a man about a woman's breasts is not known. Most women view them as means to feed their babies and others who have never had children and who are voluptuous view them as sex symbols while others view them as nuisances. Regardless of how a woman views them, men are always going to find them appealing to their fantasies.

Yes women go through this often...the next time any of them look at you, regardless of male or female, just look up at them and smile and say...this is what women do..have a problem with it?

Might be a law against breast feeding in public, in some states. But you have a legitimate reason to do it.

well when breast feeding in public, cover up with a baby blanket before just whipping out your breast. women have a right to breast feed, but other people have the right mot to have to see it. i breast feed my daughter in public, but i ALWAYS covered up. be respectful of yourself and others around you. and i agree, a mommy with that kind of picture? hmmmm

sounds like you wanted them to stare. you easily could have found a restroom, or used a blanket. maybe next time you should consider putting some breast milk into a bottle to make it a little easier.

Did you cover up or did you just whip it out for all to see?
If you didn't cover up, it sounds like you were sending out an invite for a free show..
