Why do so many people claim that they know the bible better than the next, or that the verses somehow can guide their lives to heaven. Do you know that MAN translated the Bible? Do you know that there is a big chance that all profits are Self Made, and used Lords words to their own advantage. Like keeping the Christian fatih no matter who they had to kill or oppress..Just one example

Think about it before you judge the next person

Bieng translated has nothing to do with its authenticity, the bible must be the book that was translated to almost all the world languages, and this must be, only because, people almost everywhere see that it is important to them to read it in their own language. Also it must have been - originally - put on paper by men ( what do you think ) BUT the words are GODs words. It is written in the bible ( for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the holy spirit. 2 peter 1- 21 ).

The idea of keeping the christian faith by oppressing or killing people is totally new, and i would like to refer you to these bible verses spoken by the Lord Jesus our God ( You have heard that it was said- an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth - BUT i tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you ,and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
You have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. BUT i say to you , love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you maybe sons of your father in heaven, for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors (SOME EVIL PEOPLE OF THAT TIME ) do the same?
And if you greet your bretheren only, what do you do more than others? do not thetax collectors do so?
Therefore you sall be perfect, just as your father in heaven is perfect MATTHEW 5 VERSE 38 - 48 )

This is only an example , it is obvious that there is a lot that you do not know about Jesus our God , and not only you, but i can see that in other answers as well, there is no problem, i just want to encourage you to learn more.

Do not confuse Christianity with other religions that reads something else.

There was a three fold process that was followed that made mistakes impossible. The scribes were not allowed to write even a single letter from memory. They knew the exact number of consonants and vowels. They knew the middle letter if every book. If any of these were wrong, the manuscript was burned! It was hard work writing a manuscript by hand. It was very time consuming, and the scribes were very meticulous when it came to doing what they were trained to do. Can you imagine spending that amount of time and energy on something and then having a mistake and having to start over? The people that translated the ancient scrolls into english wer not stupid people. There were about thirty of them, and on average, they each spoke 8 languages fluently.

God tells us that he has and will protect his Word. I believe him...and there are people in this world today that speak/read Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

People that claim to know the Bible probably read and study it. That's how they know it.

Yes we know that men have translated the Bible.

Give this some thought. There are many translations and the only difference are the words used. They all mean the same thing. They aren't adding or taking away, they are explaining it so you and I can read it.

Whether you choose to believe it or not does not change the validity of the Holy Bible.

man was inspired to write the Bible because God told them what to write, and if you want proof, they have it. People could translate the Bible because they know at least 2 languages, and they have actually found some of the first scrolls, and if you don't believe me, then you'll find out soon enough in the Tribulation, when everything the Bible predicts comes true.

prophets - not profits

And yes, you are correct - the Bible is a translation and it is an interpretation passed down from generation to generation and like the parlor game of 'gossip' it most certainly contains misperceptions and misguided words, some blatantly incorrect, some intentional, some politically motivated, etc etc. - given the times...but the Bible also contains some wonderful guidelines for living a good life.

The Bible is a true book of peace, love, tolerance & forgiveness.

My favorite part is the one where the 42 kids are torn to pieces because they made fun of a bald prophet.

Those bronze age goat herders had a nice imagination for their fairy tales...

One of the promises of the Bible is that God was to give us His Holy Spirit, and that He would lead us into all truths.

There are millions of people today that are Spirit filled, and so we know that the Bible is true. Our understanding of it is not perfect (as the translations) but we have God to help us.

I have never understood why Jews and Muslims, in order to be considered adults of their faith, needed to learn their holy books in the original languages and Christians could rely on translation.

The bible is a fairytale and if someone can prove that even a word of the bible has anything to do with truth , then i would be supprised.
