They killed them and said they are not selling them any more. I think this is a disgrace. They could have given them away don't you think. It was just on my local news.

They just turned the oxygen off and let them die a slow death.I know they are not dogs or cats but they are animals.

I realize a lot of Wal-Mart employees don't take good care of the fish, but please don't think they are all bad. I used to work there and I took very good care of the fish. I think it's a good idea that some stores are getting out of selling fish. The company provides no training whatsoever for the staff regarding how to care for them. Just be glad they don't sell canaries anymore!

I agree that it is really terrible. But at least they're saving fish from suffering the same fate in the future. Every time I go to Walmart and look at the fish section they are always very poorly taken care of.

One time there was only about an inch and a half of water in the bottom of what looked to be a 10-15 gallon tank! That's no way for a fish to live!

Everytime I go to wal mart I see at least 10 fish tanks dirty. When I go to PetSmart every tank is clean. For a store that has fish, it is like wal mart doesn't care. they just wanted money. THAT'S ALL THEY CARE

They really should be reported to the ASPCA. Of course, Wal-Mart already has so many legal problems right now with every other thing they do, what's a few fish added to the mix.... This is just one of the multitude of reasons Southern California does not allow Wal-Mart to build here.

alot of walmarts are phasing out fish now, just think of it this way, those fish that died did it so walmart wouldnt hurt anymore fish. They did a great service(the fish, not walmart)

oh and just so yall know, aspca doesnt consider fish an animal, they cant arrest someone for that

i saw a lady with red hair taken away in handcuffs for killing the fish.. but it was like fake red hair. she was screaming...no one cares about fish!! i think she was a recovering shark attack victim.. maybe it was revenge killing?

Pretty poor PR for sure. I agree with you that they should have been given away to caring owners.
