36 X 12 X 7 (Approx.) Now that you got the answer you want, There is no such thing as a standard step. There is a formula used by carpenters to design stair cases. The cieling height, the amount of room available and the number of steps all must be considered. Steps are measured in "steps and risers" the step is the depth and can be anywhere from 10 to 15 inches. Thr risers are just that, and are usually around 7 inches. But, they need to be adjusted for the total height of the stair case. The width of the stair case can be anyehere from 2 feet up.

If W = Tread, H = Riser and L= width of an aisle
W+H= must be 18Inches (tread+riser) Minimum riser should 6inches and maximum 8inches and the tread will vary accordingly by giving total W+H=18inches
like 6+12=18, 6.5+11.5=18, 7+11=18, 7.5+10.5=188+10=18

The width of an aisle for two person must be 3'-6"=L

ideal step size 10.5x42x7.5inches (WxLxH)

Step sizes vary nation to nation and type of use.
Garden steps must be 12x42x6 inches
