Hey y'all. I am wanting to get my hair cut. I just turned 15 years old this past Saturday and am wanting to get my hair cut. It's about 16 inches long and all the same length, thick and wavy. Brown hair with blond highlights that have grown out about 4-5 inches. I am wanting bangs as well (not in the face or eyes) cause my dad gets upset but I want side bangs. Y'all have any ideas. Thank y'all.

You are too cute with the "y'all"s. :) My hair is very long and dark brown, wavy and thick with blonde highlights grown out too. I added some layers to mine, not too many though. I am going to go back and have them make the layers shorter in the front to create a small amount of bangs. I think that is the best way to do it for you, too. Even though I'm 26, I'm built like a 15 year old (I know, how sad...) so if it looks good on me I bet it will look good on you too! :)

the first thing you should do is search on the internet for a good style to compliment your face shape. you dont want to get a cut that looks good on a model, but dosent on you. a good website is www.about.com, they have a section all about hair and the best hairstyles for you.
Also, you should consider how much time you want to spend taking care of it every day, if you are ok with a high maintenance hairstyle, or more of a wash and go girl.

side swept bangss are gorigousss ! trust me i have them && they rockk lol. if ur dad doesnt want u 2 get bangs then try gettin short layers --starten at ur nose or where ever u like-- around ur face. they will look just as good but arent as thick as bangs. both of these(layers or bangs) are rele versatile. they work with alot of face shapes and best of all look gorgiioussss
