I can understand that long hair can be viewed negatively if it's unhealthy, scraggly and full of split ends, but for those who can grow their hair very long, and have healthy-looking ends, why not? See pic: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/slincky8/album/576460762370803543/photo/294928803980379019/1

Since this seems to be a recurring theme with the answers, I'd like to say that yes, my hair has gotten caught on things on occasion, but at work, or situations where it's likely to be in the way or get tangled, I can put it up in less than three minutes, in this easy style: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/slincky8/album/576460762370803543/photo/294928803980380234/2

In response to one comment, no it absolutely never falls into the toilet. There are so many ways to prevent that from happening, and it's such an instinctual thing, that it seems like a silly thing to wonder about, lol.

My hair is quiet long. What IS so bad about it. Besides that fact that people think I'm "different" just because it is. People just enjoy finding ways to tease others. My hair is down my back... hmm... if it's open and wet, it'll go down to my knees. Heh.

Anyways... I personally think long hair is GREAT. Just it's a hassle, so I wouldn't recommend growing your hair too long. (You're head might get weighed down) haha

oh.. and for those of you are wondering.. it DOES get stuck in places... but if you have it for a long time (I have never cut my hair ONCE in my life time) then you'll get used to it and you can avoid it too :P

I don't know, really long hair has always given me the creeps for some reason, I don't even like my own hair touching me. I now have a short spikey pixie style cut and I have never felt more comfortable and cute. I gave almost two feet away to locks of love. I have a friend who had very long hair way past her butt and ended up cutting it all off because strangers and old men wouldn't quit touching her.

That is a BEAUTIFUL head of hair, but I would think it would be a pain because it can get caught in seat belts, car doors, zippers...heck, when it's that long you could end up stepping on it, and what do you do when you have to take a seat on the commode? Don't want your gorgeous locks to take a swim with the brown snakes, do you? Well, if you like it and you can live with it, that's really all that matters, right?

I have very long hair...down to the end of my back. I get complaints on it all the time. It's something that I take pride in and see nothing wrong with long hair.

Thats a healthy swath of hair!

I personally like long hair on women, but it can have its disadvantages. Yours must take lots of work to make it look that good.

I think long hair is beautiful, especially if it is well-maintained and hence healthy, but it is so hard to care for and just doesn't look good on some people.

Woah thats really really long. I just think its kind of unusual when people have hair that long but I don't have a problem with it at all.
