It depends on the state. In California there is no tax on shipping and handling. Some states may tax one or the other or both.

Depends on the state you live in and their sales tax laws.

Michigan is getting ready to start charging a tax on shipping, because they are idiots and our unemployment rate isn't high enough yet...
