I'm so sorry that you are under so much stress.

There are a few things you can do:

1. Take some meal replacements shakes while trying to get some small meals in. Sometimes eating smaller but more frequent meals helps us to still maintain our strength and enough nutrients. Try such replacements as slim-fast, Carnation instant breakfast, or some nutrition bars.

2. Try a healthy shake, such as with fruits and such. Try somethng that will taste good to you. This will give you the calories you need and taste good as well.

3. Supplement meals with a daily multivitamin also, this way you can have more nutrients.

Good luck with it, but please try to eat healthy. I've been there and even though we are stressed we need to eat.

Stress is bad enough without you taking medications to replace food and drink. You need to TRY to get your thoughts together and realize no matter what the stress is about; it WILL work out. Nothing takes the place of food and water. You don't have to eat a lot but you do need to eat. Stay away from a lot of junk foods it will only make things worse. Water is plentiful and easy to get. Food is available everywhere you go; the kind that's good for you and the other. So, don't allow yourself not to do the right things for your body.
I hope the stress works itself out soon. If you get in a desperate state; call your doctor. His drugs aren't that good for you either. Stay away from them if possible.

Stress is terrible, and can cause you to gain weight. Instead of looking at a quick fix, start looking for ways to eat healthy and preplan. Write out your meals for the week, bring snacks and lunch with you to your office. Use your computer to set reminders to eat lunch. Meals don't have to be laboreous - a breakfast on the go can be a light English Muffin with a piece of fruit. Less than 200 calories, about 10 grams of fiber, and a serving each of whole grains and fruit. Dinner (if planned in advance) can be quick too - I keep frozen grilled fish filets and trays of vegetables on hand... dinner is ready in 20 minutes with less than a minute of preparation time.

Meanwhile, you need to address the stress. Is it a source that can be removed, or is a source you need to deal with? Do you know if you can tell the difference between the two? If you have to deal with it, exercise can be a great relief - even if it's a long walk to unwind at the end of the day.

When I am stressed I don't eat either! The best way to stay relatively healthy (remember, nothing can really take the place of a good meal) is to take a multi vitamin. I prefer children's vitamins because they usually give you a wider variety of vitamins and minerals and they are chewable. I read somewhere that vitamins you swallow don't always get digested so now I'm paranoid! Also, make it a point to always drink something - water is best as are juices of any kind. You have to keep hydrated or else the vitamins won't mean sh*t! Good luck and I hope your stresses are alleviated!

First of all, you should get back to eating properly so that you will feel better, causing stress levels to automatically go down. Also, exercise and taking time for yourself (such as a long bath, window shopping, night out with friends, ect.) will reduce stress.
I suggest taking a multivitamen each day and trying Ensure nutrition shakes, Kashi meal bars, & Boost High Protien Energy Nutrition Drink (you can get these at drug stores such as Walgreens, Walmart, ect.)

There really *isnt* anything you can take to replace the nutrition food can provide, but if you must know something that can...stand in, for a while:
V-8 juice, is very good.
Multivitamin- like flinestones? 2 a day is the adult dose.
Just remember to drink lots of water.

Just go see your doctor. That is the best thing to do.
