Not any time soon, we're currently at a nuclear stand off. Their current threat is economic as they're about to takeover the world's markets....

China? Geez... we're not done with Afganistan and Iraq yet, we're looking hungrily at Iran, and you want to add China to the menu? Don't we have enough on our plate already?

Besides, even if we could topple the Chinese gov't without setting off a global thermonuclear war, what would we do then? Do you really want to take on responsibility for a billion-plus people while we "rebuild" their society?

We fought them once, in Korea. They drove us back by sheer man power. We do not have the man power to fight China, so it would have to be by nuclear war & no one could win that one!
There are over 1.5 billion people in China, they cannot support that # of people within it's present boundries. They are going to have to expand. Where will they go first? No, not here, but will we be content to let them take over another country without sticking our necks out to protect someone else? Maybe for the time being we will, but eventually they will move on another country & what will we do then? We may be forced into a corner & have to fight but it won't be by conventional means, it will have to be by nuclear weapons, that is the only way we could defeat them. They know this & are ready to take us on anytime. They do have the means to wage nuclear war, its just who gets the first bomb in & we are reluctant to use that type of force, so it could be our turn to experience what Japan did during the 2nd WW! In any event it does not bode well for us if we think of them as friends or as peaceful & non agressive. We should not allow ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of well being because of our bombs, we may never get to use them! Be friendly but wary!

Absolutely not. There's no reason to. I think that the USA and China should come closer together as China moves towards a market-based economy.

The war with China must be fought economically. When we implement the Fair Tax, manufacturing will no longer have the need to go overseas because there will be no taxes on their activities. Taxes would only be paid on retail purchases.

No the uS will noty go to war with china, instead when our leaders and corporations have sold enough she will make pearl harbor look like a tea party, and this time American will have huge popualtions of worthless undesirables infesting her so she will be crippled to fight back, the communists are winning this war.

No. The only thing China has that the U.S. wants is cheap labor for manufacturing, and we can easily get that without a war.

Nope, 100% no. The economy of both countries is so connected that either could destroy the other with economic sanctions. They buy up our debt and we buy their crappy products. For better or worse we are joined at the hip.

Neither one could win a military or economic war against the other. It would be total destruction.

Yes, eventually. Humans go to war over anything, it's just how we are. And yet the little libby democrats want to waste our tax dollars on people who don't work and disband our military. If the Chinese do take over, they will be the ones used as slaves in sweat shops. Hard working republicans will be doing more productive things.

What's relevant about this question is the fact that it's being asked at all....i.e., what worries you most about China is what
WE ASK OURSELVES ABOUT ALL SUPERPOWERS....
Eventually time runs out and everthing comes to a standoff; if
leadership remains trapped in the same old paradigms, we will
see THE END, at least of life here,as we know it....
