I would probably pull for Bonavena, but it wouldn't be a very long fight. They're both pretty old right now and I remember Norton suffering a stroke a while back.

Norton would enjoy a 7 inch reach advantage in this fight but I think Bonavena would negate that advantage. Bonavena had a good chin with Ali the only one to ever to knock him out by TKO. These fighters are equal in the power department. I see Bonavena taking a close decision in this fight.

I believe that this would have been a very brutal and entertaining fight as Bonavena was more of a strong brawler who gave Ali and Joe Frazier hell in their fights. Ringo was an awkward fighter that threw punches from crazy angles. Norton had an unorthodox stance which he threw accurate jabs from. He was a better boxer than Ringo and he did beat Ali before losing two highly disputed decisions to him. Bonavena was nearly impossible to knock out and had a granite jaw so I believe this fight goes the distance with Norton winning a decision because of his superior boxing skills.

Interesting fight between two awkward fighters. I doubt that Bonavena could hurt Norton and I doubt that Bonavena could have avoided getting hit on that big ol chin of his.

I go with Norton in a close match but I would not bet the house on it because Bonavena almost beat Ali.
