I don't believe that will be a problem. Usually 10 years is only a problem if someone is 16 and the other person is 26. But with your age in mind you should be fine.

revise you question. if you were born in 1979 and he in 1809 then there's a 170yrs difference.

No, I don't think it will. I'm pretty sure he died way before you were born. Unless you're going to be carrying his bones around then I would say it is a problem.
