French braid it. If you don't know how to do that, then just a normal braid will work too. Also, use a comb and not a brush.

me too!
here's what i do - it keeps the waves in, and keeps tangles away.

1) Put a little bit - JUST A LITTLE or else it'll be oily - of conditioner in your hair. A good way to do this is to take a little in your hand, and spread it over your brush bristles so that they're lightly coated before brushing your hair. Brush the bottom first, then the top.
2) Just gather all your hair at the back of your neck - you don't have to bother brushing it over your part like you would for a higher ponytail - and band it off with an elastic. This should make a low, comfortable ponytail.
3) Put another elastic about two inches down the ponytail, and a third elastic two inches down from the second, and so on, until you reach the end of your hair.

When you wake up in the morning, all you have to do is take out the elastics and quickly brush it, and you're all set!

I have the same problem! (but I have very curly blonde hair.) I usually just put a spritz of detangler spray in it before I go to bed. Sometimes though, I put my hair in braids or a high ponytail. For the most part, this works pretty well for me, just be sure to use a good detangler spray after you take a shower! Good luck!!

I usually put my hair in a ponytail...if your hair is really long then you should braid it. Thats what all my friends with long hair do. It makes it wavy when you take it out too, but not knotted.

Braid it in one big braid then put the braid in a bun. Wrapping your hair in a silk scarf or sleeping on a silk pillow case will also help.

Braid it in a long pony tail or pigtails...other than cutting it shorter, that's about it...

well for me i put it in a braid or pony tail but a hat would be good too so it keeps it in it's shape.
