She says that she's not interested in being anything more than friends with him. She tells me that he looks as good as when she first met him. She also told me that he told her that she was too fat and ugly for him. I don't understand why she still talks to him. She assures me that she is not interested in him but I'm not so sure. She has had a lot of boyfriends before me but she is my first girlfriend. What would you do? What is the etiquette on this? Thanks.

Hmm. I think she's trying to make you jealous.. Pay more attention to her.
She might be trying to get you two to fight also, don't.
She's talking to him for a reason, so she must be interested.

First of all don't make the mistake of telling her she can't. That will make you come off as the controling kinda guy and you don't wanna do that.
Now, I'm curious as to why she would want to talk to a guy who said such rude things about her. That's just odd. If I were you I honestly would rather her not talk to this guy. The situation is just to weird and doesn't fit.
Tell her that you don't really like her talking to him. She's gonna ask why. Don't say because he is an ex. That will make you look like you don't trust her and she won't like it. Say that he treated her badly and that you think she's better than that and she doesn't need someone who is going to treat her that way. Tell her she deserves nicer friends. Stuff like that. Just use the situation to make you look better. :p Hope it works out for ya.

this would pass both way dude. trust me from journey. in case you confront her about it you receives an ear finished about the way you do not trust her and the entire 9 yards. ...I'm thinking if she's talking to her ex-boyfriend on the phone right smack dab in front of you...cause she's trying to send YOU a message here partner. She's a chicken S--T too! What's she doing talking to him anyways? She's absolutely trying to piss you off if you're asking me anyways. My ex used to do this kinda crap to me too....this is one of the reasons she's an ex to begin with. Sure you could say I was feeling insecure about it. Heck...it was the guy she went back to to have an affair with for crying out loud. She's being very cruel to you in my book partner. She needs to discuss this crap with you pronto. Tell her the door swings both ways dude. It probably already does for her anyways....

If he was really like that torwards her, I think she has just never felt acceptance from him and is still thriving for it so she continues to talk to him. I think she is hoping that he will see that she is a great catch and so that way she can move on. She is still hurt and doesn't know what to do. I would talk to her about it and ask her.
