I should have phrased this, "Please help me find the place in the Bible for this (or a very similar) phrase, "Know what you believe".

My own search yielded nothing, but with many heads working on it, perhaps something will turn up. Thank you.

That phrase does not occur in the Bible.

I searched that EXACT phrase in 13 English translations and that phrase does not occur.

***UPDATE***
The passage in Timothy mentioned above is one of the best passages for the concept. There is also the passage that says Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season.

No. I searched my Bible software in several versions and came up empty. But "Know What You Believe" is the title of a book by Paul E. Little available from Intervarsity Press.

That exact phrase is not in The Bible.... Christians basic belief based on God... not The Bible... The Bible dose not prove god... God proves the Bible... however... John 3:16-17 might fit... "for God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. for God sent not His Son into the world to condem the worl but that the world, through Him might be saved".... that is what I believ.
