the best way to get a tattoo, is to decide what you want BEFORE you decide to get it.
don't just say "i want a tattoo on my hip bone, now what should i get??"
those type of tattoos turn into the ones that people tend to regret in the future.
there are plenty of sites, like http://www.bmezine.com or http://www.tattoojohnny.com but you really need to make this a personal decision, and not get a tattoo based on what other people already have.
sure that tattoo means something to them, but what about you??

go to Google and type in "tattoo flash" or "tattoo designs" or something like that. It will bring up a whole bunch of websites that have pictures of tattoo ideas. Some are free, some you have to pay for. Here's an idea though: If you find one you really like on a website you have to pay for, get a piece of tracing paper and trace it right off of your computer screen so you don't have to pay for it. Also, with the tracing paper, you can combine as many designs as you want to make it exactly what you want. For example, I combined three different designs to make a heart with a keyhole in it, with wings and a crown on top. Good luck!!

i agree with "sombody" lol nice name btw.

www.ratemyink.com has better search options than
www.rankmytattoo.com.

But I suggest you first research your artist, find a really good one.
then, discuss with him or her your idea, and have him work up something. Make sure what you are getting looks right on your body and is something will be happy with.
Hastily made tattoo decisions = costly removeal later or costly coverup jobs, where the tattoo is even large than the first, so it can cover.

there are tons of places that have pictures of tattoos. my favorite website is ratemyink.com you can see great tattoos and horrible ones and you get a chance to see that it really is important to chose your artist wisely.

www.tattoojohnny.com

www.tattoomenow.com

Maybe you could take a design from one of the websites and change it a little (yourself or with your tattoo artist) to make it unique to you!

Good luck!!
