Or is it just that the people who preach religion find themselves disgusted with homosexuals, so they feel they need to misuse their religious influence to cast away people who don't share the same views on life that they do? Either way it sounds like a contradiction to me.

In his likeness, not in his sex life.
So God looks gay, but he's not, because he's all for everyone being stright, but he isn't straight either because he has no gonads.

In other words, God's a metrosexual.

God does "love us all" -- yet he has additionally laid down his regulation that could desire to be observed -- in accordance to the way he made the regulation -- no longer in accordance to how we opt to interpret that regulation. If then he says that no guy could desire to sleep with yet another guy interior an identical way he does with a woman, then that could desire to be obeyed. church homes do no longer "reason hate crimes against homosexuals" -- we only remind the lbgt community that they are transgressing against that regulation. Being gay is one element -- acceptable in gay acts are thoroughly different. the two heterosexuals and homosexuals are called via God to stay celebate outdoors of marriage. yet marriage is God's God's holy covenant for a guy and a woman to return mutually for the propcreation of youngsters -- no longer basically legitimze intercourse. gay adult males can not create new existence -- neither can 2 women people mutually. Oh, and....marriage isn't a ideal yet a present day to the Church.

God does not hate a person irregardless of his physical form, hormonal dysfunction or malfunction, but the wickedness one can do with what he has and he is. Being homosexual is not a sin but if one acts like a prostitute that goes from man to another like a whore is another thing. The image and likeness of God in man is the His graciousness and righteousness. Not the physical form you see in you as a man. Just as a prostitute cannot be hated by God by just being so but when she starts taking advantage of the weaknesses of man for her own advantage to the point of destroying a family, then God's hand will not be away to give His punishment.

God does not hate any homosexual. He loves them literally to death because Jesus died for them too. I know the bible says homosexuality is an abomination but I know God still loves them despite that and he understands what they are going through. There is no excuse for anyone who mistreats homosexuals. I don't think they should be getting married or should be preachers but only God can judge them accurately.

God doesn't hate homosexuals...He loves them. It's their behavior that He sees a problem with. I know lots of Christians that don't hate homosexuals, nor do they condemn them. We as Christians are not in the position of being God, we are just His children or ambassadors. Sometimes Christians make pretty bad examples, but we do not have the corner on bad behavior, others behave badly too. I know lots of people who hate Christians as well. I have seen some pretty hateful stuff on the message boards here about Christians, but it seems that is OK. Its as if we all think alike, we are all trying to "push our views" on everyone else, and we hate everyone.
Frankly, I don't believe that for a second. While there are certainly bad examples, those examples don't speak for the whole. Anyone who believes that is bigoted. People, whether they are Christians, Atheists, Straight or homosexuals are all made in the image of God. We need to respect that, and honor God for that. It was HE that made us, and we are all equal. Unfortunately some of us choose to dishonor God with our speech, with our behavior and with our lifestyles whatever they are.
God is the one who makes the Moral Law, Christians don't. Christians are just supposed to follow it, and they sometimes don't, partly because they are not able to be perfect and partly because they don't know or want to follow it. WE all sin and fall short. No amount of "preaching religion" changes a person's sin nature, only Christ can do that. It is only God who is righteous, and He says that if we turn to Him, and walk in His light, our lives down here will be a little better and a LOT better in heaven..do you know anyone who is doing that? I do, and they don't project the kind of image that you have written about.

God did create us all in His likeness and He does love us all. BUt, God didnt create sin. He gives us free choice, and many sin, just like the devil did. God didnt make homsexuals, or it wouldnt be sin, would it? If I were born with a long nose, it couldnt be sin, huh? as I would have no choice in it. Same with homosexuality. God doesnt hate homosexuals, nor should any Christian. absolutely not. But, GOd knows where it all leads, to death and destruction and He love sus too much to leave any of us in our sin filled conditions, including the homosexual lifetime. But, many ppl hate them and treat them bad, Thats not of God either. We are to speak truth, live it and continue to pray for everyone, including the gays and the athiests, all of it. Its only Gods place to deceide the fate of another, but we do Have His Word and He tells us the fate of homosexuals. it is death, in hell. But, they can always repent, turn from it, and follow jesus. God is so eager to forgive because He loves them, loes us all so much. If a man is cheatin g on his wife, and someone calls that sin, what if he freaks out and says it isnt sin. Does it mean it isnt, just cuz he doesnt want to give that sin up?? NO> same with homosexuals. But, its just as wrong to hate them or be mean to them. we each need to look at ourselves in relationship with God, and see if there are areas we need to change. and leave the otehrs to God, but its ok to tell them, as God says to. Also there are no contradictions in the Bible, just places ppl dont have a full understanding of yet. Its like a huge jigsaw puzzle, where one piece fits together with another, till a huge big glorious awesome picture is formed. If we are still missing a piece, it wont all click together. So study a lot and pray .

I find it humorous that they think they can speak for God, and then turn around and say that only God can judge people. I also find it interesting that homosexuality is NOT mentioned in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek texts. It was added much later by the church. They're not going to be laughing when they're judged by their intolerance.

No one is able to state for a fact that god exists or does not exist...........then how can a person state that god hates such and such and loves such and such....It is merely our assumptions that have stated how a man should live his life.....The human interpretations of a higher/supernatural being are many in number, and each hold their own views as to who/what God is. Thus, I believe that it is the people who preach religion that find homosexuality to be a sin or w/e........

GOD DOES NOT HATE HOMOSEXUALS. HE CREATED SEX TO BE BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN. ANYTHING ELSE IS A SIN. THE BIBLE STATES THAT SINNERS WILL NOT GET INTO HEAVEN. THE ONLY WAY TO FREE YOURSELF FROM SIN IS TO ACCEPT A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

SADLY, THE SO CALLED "CHRISTIANS" OF THIS ERA FORGET THAT WE HAVE A LOVING FATHER WHO SENT HIS SON TO EARTH TO SAVE US, AND HE HUNG OUT WITH THE LOWEST OF THE LOW, AND WE SHOULD NOT CONDEMN PEOPLE, BUT LOVE THEM ALL.

hate the sin, not the sinner. if God hated the sinners, we would all end up in hell.

Not that im a huge fan of homosexuals, i think its mainly the stereotypical types that freak me out, but it is a shame that religion is so mean to them. I thought religion was all about tolerance? Im so happy i am an atheist. Live and let live, as they say.

God does not hate homosexuals, who told you that? God certainly didn't. He loves all His children with all their various faults.

What He can't abide in is the act of homosexuality. It's considered an abomination because of what it can do to you, both physically and spiritually.
