I don't have a bread machine so when a recipe's directions tell me to use one, what do I do? like, kneading and dissolving the yeast, etc.

You don't 'Knead' one (ok, that was a joke). I was able to find one at the thrift shop brand new for like $25 bucks. I use it for timing my bread so when I wake up in the morning, I have fresh bread. Also, I like to use it for my pizza dough, and other recipes. Don't buy one new unless you want to.

If the recipe calls for bread machine you need one. Look for bread recipes without a bread machine and then you follow their instructions. You can dissolve the yeast and put the flour on the counter, make a well in the middle and pour in the yeast and start kneading, but its still better to use a normal recipe.

No, you don't need a bread machine. Bread is very easy to make, but takes time. To dissolve yeast just put it into warm water with a bit of sugar and wait. Fresh yeast makes the best bread though, ask your local baker or bakery section in the supermarket to sell you some, it's usually very cheap. Kneading is simply bashing and stretching the dough with your hands repeatedly, very theraputic if you are feeling a bit stressed or irritable!
