18 month olds are tough, given that you will need to feed the little guy dinner each night, your fee should take into consideration whether or not you need to cook food for him. But I would think $5 an hour is reasonable, as long as you plan on interacting with the kid. If he will be watching a lot of TV $4 an hour is probably fair.

My basic theory on pricing is charge a price that you think is fair and that is worth your time. Never charge an amount that you will feel they took advantage of you when the week is up.

Um...I think that everyone else is telling you too much. My son is charged the infant rate and it is $80. That is the most expensive one, the rest charge about $60-75. That is for five days a week, eight hours each day. If you asked me for $200.00 a week to keep my son, I would, no offense, tell you where you could stick it!

Well if you work for those hour then you should get $25 a day. My mom baybysits about 3 kids including my 2 brothers and she gets paid about $30 per kid.

That depends on where you are! This may help you out, its a rate calculator that figures out the rate depending on where you live, the age of the child, your experience etc.

I'm in Chicago and it would probably start around $10/hour

Probably about $20/day, but that partly depends on what part of the country you are in. I live in the Northwest.

I'd ask for at least $6 an hour. Or a flat amount...like $200.00. If they were to send her to a daycare, it would be at least that.

I would charge $100 a week. It would really depend on if you are feeding him supper.
