My ex still trys to act like the break-up never happened and occasionally makes remarks about us getting back together in the future... I know it's not right but in my mind I use at as the closest thing to being close with them. How can I make it easier to move on?

Focus on yourself and keep busy ... Maybe a new / old hobby, getting lost in some of your favorite music ... I am in the same situation right now and I am finding that no contact with the other is helping alot.

STOP SPENDING SO MUCH TIME TOGETHER!!!! Take time away from one another, or nothing will change. Imagine how much BS you will have to cut through if you meet someone else! Neither the new girl nor the old ex will be comfortable. Lose the ex now,...and things will be easier later. If you guys are ment to be friends, then you will be. But seperate for this arkward time between the to of you and you will both benifit

I think the best way is to move on dont look back if it was bad once its sure to get worser and why put yourself thru that again. I dont like games and pretending that you might get back together is a game. Meet new friends and go different places that you went with her or him avoid the places that they would be and get on with your life. You only live once so make it memorable not miserable

try doing new things that you never did with her. sometimes journaling helps to log your emotions on a daily basis and see your growth. out of sight out of mind. Do not keep answering her phone calls, Do not agree to see her, go on with your daily life and meet new friends. It is not the end of the world it is the begining of a new life.. Good Luck..

go out with someone else, and just enjoy new friendships. Be firm with ex and dont give any encouragement. Doesnt help either of you to move on, if there are doubts sort them out first.

well maybe you two haven't moved on and there's still feelings. If you want to be finished with him totally then stop talking to him, go out with friends more or get involved in other things.

Get a hobbie to fill in the time that you spent with her. Keep your mind off of her.
