No, he isn't dead. He died on the cross but on Sunday of that week (Easter Sunday) he rose again. He is alive and he is in heaven and he does hear my prayers. It takes faith to believe that, and I realize that you may not have any. But, you asked the question. The answer is faith. It is an essential part of the Christian faith that Christ is alive. We do not pray to a dead Savior or worship someone that is dead. I do have a relationship with Christ. When I am around no human being on earth, I know that he is with me.

St. John 3:5 says that we must be Born Again of the water and of the Spirit to enter into the Kingdom of God. We have to get rid of this sinful behavior and our Spirit must be brought back to life. Peter preached it on the first day of the First Church in Acts 2:38. We must get rid of our sins by first asking for forgiveness, then by being baptized by immersion for the washing away of our sins, this will clean us up from the inside out. Then God will give us His Spirit, called the Holy Ghost to bring our dead spirit back to life. We know that we have His Spirit when we speak in an unknown language, just like the first assembly of believers Acts 2:4. Yhe Spirit gives utterance, this is one of the characteristics of the Holy Ghost. Acts 10:45-46 tells of how the gentiles got the Holy Ghost, Acts 19:5-6 tells of the disciples of John the Baptist were rebaptized and the infilling or the Holy Ghost. St. Mark 16:17 tells ushow we know that we are His. He lives through His Children. There is so much more to tell you. I would just follow the Plan that God put in His Book and let Him guide you. God Bless you.

Jesus is not dead. He was resurrected which made him immortal and incapable of dieing. That He no longer lives on the earth at this time is true, but He is not dead.

He communicates, most of the time, through the Holy Ghost. however, not all are capable of hearing the Holy Ghost as most do not open their hearts and their minds to spiritual manifestations.

Those who sincerely seek and humbly bow before God in earnest prayer, will learn to hear the words the Holy Ghost speaks to their heart.

God bless and good luck if you choose to embark on such a journey as to find God.

Just before He arose He said, I WILL SEND YOU A COMFORTER. This Comforter is who the bible calls the Holy Spirit and this is the way He communicates with us. In order to get these messages but one must confess their sins to Him and claim Him as their Lord and Savior first before you can have this relationship with Him. I'll pray for you right now !!!

Jesus is not dead. He is the All Mighty King that defeated death, because he was the perfect sacrifice. He does talk to us, though, through the Bible, and through His Holy Spirit. Anyone who professes the name of Jesus Christ as the one true God has the Holy Spirit living inside of them.

I BelieveThat People who are Christians, Have some form of mental handicap. My reasoning, If people pray and they seriously think that jesus or god will answer them they have to be retarted because god is not real and the man named jesus is dead and he was not a mesiah, he was just a regular man. and how do we know that there werent thousands of people named jesus at the time.

The Holy Bible, that is why He gave it to us--to keep us grounded in his truth and communicate with us, to keep us from falling away and to teach us His truth--through His Holy Spirit that does teach those who are saved in Him.
We worship and pray to Him, and he teaches us through His word- He is alive and the power of His salvation is real...He convicts the hearts of sinners everyday.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Acts 17:27
God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

we have a relationship with Him through reading His word, and praying. God has ways of answering our prayers, but they aren't always answered in the ways we expect, but He always provides and meets our needs. obviously you haven't accepted Him as your Saviour yet, Besides Christ is alive. He resurrected Himself 3 days after He was crucified, and nothing could have stopped Him.

The relationship is a spiritual one - Live as He lived, do as He would do, try to be like Him, and you have part of the answer.
