my ten year old hits every child that comes within 5 feet of him. He hates everyone, and has no friends. Ever since his friend punched him, he hits. He sits in his room and yells, and blasts music 24/7. Should I lock him outside? Because I am beginning to get concerned. He isn't autistic or disabled or anything but I dont know what's wrong. Talking doesn't help.
Love always,
Arnie

Unfortunately, this website isn't going to help either. You need to start with his pediatrician. They'll recommend another doctor if necessary.

Take him to a therapist. Dont lock him outside or hit cause than you're breaking the law and he could be taken away from you. All you can do is seek professional help. Good Luck.

I think professional help is needed. I'm sure you're aware of that. You need to get him some help before something happens that can't be changed. Lock him out? No! Are you afraid of him , sounds like it. go and talk to a professional ASAP>

well you cant ignore this situation....hitting is bad and having no friends is bad too...he needs to get out and socialize with other kids....take all of his toys and games away from him including his stereo and see what happens then...and you said that you talked to a dr about this? was is a psyciatrist? or just his pediatrician? he sounds like he need to be on meds...how does he act in school? does he get good grades and stay out of trouble?

He needs to get help now, don't wait until he really hurts someone and your sued, he's only going to become more aggressive.

and I can't believe that he never hit before getting hit himself, that doesn't wash.

You have got to get the kid some professional help. Something happened to him and he is expressing his confusion with anger.

He is crying out for help...inappropriately. It sounds like he is angry about something. You need to get some help for him.
