My hair is about an inch to two inches past my shoulders. It is naturally wavy but is kind of funky so I usually straighten it or just wear it up. I want to try putting it in rollers when it is damp and blow drying it becaue I always think that looks nice on other people. Does anyone have any tips for me? How long should I leave them in for/dry the hair for? I've never done this before and I want it to look good so any tips are really appreciated! Thanks!

I have the same type of hair. Get the conair jumbo rollers. They come in a case that you plug in and heat up. blow dry your hair straight, but leave it sliiiiightly damp. Then after the rollers have heated up, roll 1-2inch sections of your hair around the roller and clip it up. I usually let them sit in for about 10-20 minutes. The longer you let them sit, the more the curl will hold.

definatly get the conair rollers....they are so easy to use and look great!

if you want just a soft curl, find a large roller. When my hair was long I found the biggest ones I could find. YOud on't want to put too much hair on one roller, other wise it will never dry. If you hair is natrually wave, the smaller the roller the tighter the curl. If you hair is very think , I wouldn't put it up when it is very wet. Perhaps dry it halfway and then put in your rollers. You can buy an attachment for your blowdryer that fits on end of the blowdryer and you would use it like a dryer you see in the salon that has a bonnet. you could try that, or if you have alot of time around the house, let it air dry. Put a bit of gel or mousse before you roll it, that will keep the curl uniform.

When it is dry just brush it out. that's really all there is to it.

Ok I have the same length and type of hair so what i normally do is a few different thing... I either put my hair in hot rollers (dry hair) but angle them in rows along you head not in straight lines due to the fact that they wont fall right. I also use a defusser (need wet hair) and the steps that i do with my products are biosilk silk therapy, moose for curls (aussie), garnier fructis hard curl, aussie scrunch spray, use the defusser, more scrunch spray and biosilk hair spray and then the defusser again. This will give you volume and ringlets. its a totally different look from just crunching your hair with moose and hair spray. mind you, I have just about every hair product there possibly could be and one of my roommates is a gay cosmotologist haha. If you don't like thoes ideas, for the regular rollers i would suggest using a water based gel on your roots and base of you head to give you volume and moose on the rest to keep its clean, light and not frizz up on you then use a light aerosol hair spray. I hope this helps

I would use slick rollers . Velcro rollers will have it looking a little frizzy on the ends. Put your dryer on low setting with high heat. That way its not blowing your hair everywhere off the rollers. As you dry it use your fingers to sorta seperate the hair on the rollers and feel for the dryness of it.Make sure you wait a few minutes before you take it down to let it cool some and then recheck for dryness... Hope this helps!!!

Wet set your hair-apply a setting lotion to wet/damp hair then use the plastic, snap on rollers with the smooth barrel and let your hair dry naturally. Your curls will be bouncy, firm, soft, smooth and long lasting this way, instead of using heat to dry your hair.
