Not at all, it depends on the people, if they like each other's company, that really determines the friendship, age or not.

it is only four years difference, only that the 22's other friends might think the 17 year is wierd because he's still in high school, but if the 17 is mature enough then it shouldn't be a problem. Being in high school doesn't always make the guy immature, there are tons of guys I know that always hang out with college kids.

A 22 year old guy I know even dates a 17 year old, so in a guy-girl relationship it isn't big, so between two guys it should be even less of a problem.

It all depends on personality.

age aint nothing but a number and you know that. If its an innocent friendship then let it be its not like youre getting drunk with them so i say its not weird at all. At 17 there are worse thing you could be doin and with people who are your own age plus if theyre older then they know alot more they have good advise and they have a lil bit more wisdom. And if theres nothing bad happening when you hang out with someone you should never question if its wrong to have a friendship with someone regardless of age race or religion.

You can hang out it may be better for him to hang out with someone older so that he can see someone being responsible and pick up good habits. But be careful because people who don't know the situation will speculate and make assumptions. I hope this is not a girl because you could still get into tons of trouble.

Well, one of my best friends is 18. and I'm 22. He used to live in London, but now he's in Birmingham. He still visits and he'll stay at my house over night and just hang out. It's okay, at least for me. But I'm really just a mature little kid. ha ha. My dad is 44 and he's still hanging out with 20 year olds. Ha ha.

No. There is nothing wrong with that. Its kind of like a big brother senario. It really isnt that big of a gap.......as long
as you are not "contributing to the deliquincy of a minor".

Its not weird, BUT it might be a sign that you are not making much head way in the rest of your life. Are you moving along towards independent adulthood, or are you somewhat stuck back in teenage world? Good luck.

What's wrong with that? It's like having a younger brother. Unless your thinking strange thoughts...then you have an issue. But if not, then that's cool.

Depends on the difference in maturity level-if they seem to be on the same page then I wouldn't say its weird
