If Christ sent most of his time with the sinner then, why don't you? And when he was with them he was not telling them how dumb they are Christ just loved them. So what do you do?

I both spend time with sinners and I love them. I don't tell them "if you don't get save, you are going to hell" or anything like that. We usually talk about Christ when they ask me something about it. I'm the type of person who will ask you about receiving Christ once and if they you no, I will respect your decision, not criticize you.

You raise an excellent question, indeed. I, for one, am a Christian. Yet, I do spend more time with sinners than most do. However, I do not (naturally) shun the company of believers. However, there are some things to keep in mind. Now, I know some so-called Christians are out there. I'm sure you realize that, as well, and these give us a bad rap. In addition, one must remember that just because a Christian speaks out against things, he/she isn't hateful automatically because of their position. These days, to disagree with the flow automatically makes you "hateful" and "negative." I know. I've been called that too many times to count...lol. YET, Christ loved people and, YET, loved them enough to tell them the true way to live and the right thing to do. Oopsie, though! Many don't like to remember that or to be told that. Thus, Christians are branded hateful if they stand against sinful actions...nothing could be farther from the truth. I know...I know...some wrongfully handle situations (I'm sure I have in the past, as well....I'm certain I'm guilty at times....I bet you haven't always handled things correctly either, right?...we all goof). Anyway, some mishandle matters due to ignorance and other, sad to say, do so to give Christians a bad name, and still others because they are filled with zealous hate (hiding behind or mistakenly having a "Christian" mask). Howbeit, I am sure you know all or most of this. Regardless, I hope this helps. Nice chatting with you, ladyluv. Paul 2/23/2007

I know I'm not as good at it as Jesus, but I'm trying ... my hardest time is deciding when to state that I cannot enjoin in their planned "sin" because of my beliefs, and when to just stay silent and refuse to participate on some lame excuse lol.

I guess it's because while I don't want to turn them off to a relationship with Jesus before they are ready to hear about Him, I also can't engage in some of the things that the people I party with engage in. Does that make sense?

But I always try my best to just love the people I'm around, without preaching or being the party-pooper lol. I don't say anything about God unless someone asks. Weird how the subject almost always comes up though, even if I don't say a word about it.

Try to treat people like you want to be treated. That is what Christ wants us to do. Don't judge people until you have walked in their shoes. Christ does give us a certain amount of judgement to protect ourselves. Like you know you don't want to hang with a murderer. But Christ does forgive even a murderer.

We share the truth in love! That is why I love answering questions that a non believer asks. I want them to know the love of Christ and His salvation-- how important it is and how serious sin is.
There is a way to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in love, just as He tells us to. But we must always stick to the truth, not sugar coat it or water it down....God says: Romans 10:15
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
