Wouldn't you agree there is real beauty in the Salvation history of the Human Race? The beauty of pure sacrifice and love for mankind?

Yeah, but that beauty is not just for Christians alone! People are sacrificing their lives every day so that others may live happy and free. Just look at the soldiers in Iraq. Sacrifices like that have been made since the dawn of the human race.

While I understand why you might see it that way, the ugliness of a god who would set up his people for failure in such a way that he would require that kind of sacrifice actually overshadows any beauty in your statement.
