I'm just curious about the people who hang around this section.

So what do you do for a living? How many times have you changed your job? and what was/is the worst job you ever had?

Myself: I haven't had a single job in my life. Maybe I had. If tutoring for free is a job then that is the only thing I have done! I'm also a grad student and I love to learn about science more than anything else. Oh and I do get paid for being a grad student so I guess that counts too!

I have been a nurse for over a decade. I care mainly for the elderly, the chronically disabled, and the dying. I work in long-term care, which I much prefer over hospital work, because it allows me the opportunity to really get to know my patients and sometimes become close to them, since I may be with them for years.

I'm a Civil Engineer now, but I've run a child care center, worked as an aquatic ecotoxicologist, drove a bus, worked at 7-11 and been in the Army.

Worst was working at 7-11, but it wasn't all THAT bad - I just was pregnant at the time and the smell of the relish for the hot dogs made me very nauseated so I quit after two weeks.

Most fun job was driving the bus. I most enjoyed driving the handicapped door-to-door routes, because I could actually take the time to talk to my passengers get to know them. The regular routes were ok, but it was mostly just driving. With the handicapped routes, I actually went to the people's doors, helped them to the bus, then took them where they needed to go and helped them to the door there. It was very rewarding, but low paid.

I work at the front desk of a hotel. I've had about 6 jobs. Some of which I hated with a passion.

The worst was working a call center for internet troubleshooting. I'll die before I'll do that again. I've never been made to cry by a customer before working there. Horrible horrible job. People are nasty on the phone. Just outright as mean as they can possibly be.

I work in the medical field, I've had 5 jobs in my life, and the worst was driving a forklift in a warehouse....part of which was a blast freezer....very, very cold.
