my computer crashed and i lost everything, i had to restore it and when i got it back i lost all my pics and music and anything i had put on it. what i was wondering is there a way to get atleast my pics back .... (I have XP if that helps ) thx

Not easilly or inexpensively. You would have to take your hard drive to a professional who *may* be able to scan the layers of the hard drive to recover the data. There are some programs that may help you with this on your own, but it's a delicate process and may cause permanent damage to your hard drive if done incorrectly.

Use this as a lesson and purchase a DVD burner. Format a DVD to allow drag and drop copying so that you can backup all future data quickly and easilly.

one of 2 things well first and for most if you harddrive was formatted during the restoration process then definetly your stuff is gone if it wasnt the you can a file recovery sofware nextime for for future references save all you pics and important data on a cd/dvd ore an external memory device

No, when you restored it, it wiped any old information off the drive, I don't think I could save it.. And I have the Best recovery software and Training money can buy. Sorry

you can recover lost data but you wont be able to do it personally, you'll need to take it to a recovery specialist and it may cost thousands, if you want to do this, quit using it and do it soon because it may write over some of the files

If you re-installed or restored, there is no way to recover pics or music.

u might be able to do a system restore start , all programs , accessories , system tools and system restore. if thats what u did already then try doing it to a earlyer date.
