I think the buttercup is far and away the best.

I love squash which is strange because as a child it made me barf. I like the Butternut and the Spaghetti squash. Haven't tried Buttercup. There are a lot of varieties and I intend on trying a new one the next time I go to the store. I would like to try the Delicata. They say it is one of the tastier winter squashes. acorn,roasted in the oven with brown sugar,honey and butter,you cut in half,scoop out the inside prick with a fork all over,spread the honey and brown sugar on them and add about 1/2 TBS wrap in foil bake for 45min-1hour in a 350 oven
