Now Christians alive right now, today, are in the process of deciding whether they want to be cold or hot, for many are lukewarm. And we find that many, many will grow cold altogether. That's what Jesus prophesied "because iniquity shall abound in the last days, the love of many shall grow cold." (Matt.24:12; 2 Thess.2:3). We need to allow things to stir us up and to put on the spiritual heat that we can become boiling hot for God.

Revelation 3:14 "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God."

Laodiceans....,that says it just right. We are fat and happy, have forgotten our first love, dont care for widows and orphans, given to lust and pleasures. The only difference between the christian and heathen is where they spend Sunday morning. We ought to be ashamed and we will answer for this.

Yes, Christians are lukewarm. The divorce rate among Christians is the same as non Christians. Something is wrong. But scripture is being fulfilled

* This is how I choose to live..
Philippians 3:10-11 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

fairly. in simple terms look at this internet site as a instruction manual. what proportion right here declare to be Christian, yet think of that homosexuality is great, religions that declare Jesus isn't the Son of God are ok. Believing fake doctrine. Condoning evil acts. Sounds notably lukewarm to me.

To many churches are luke warm, because the Pastor doesn't want to offend anyone. But, then it becomes a social club. And maybe the numbers of the church grows. But no one really comes to Salvation (born of God) by faith in Jesus Christ.

The Pastors need to praise & love God with a hot love. And when those who don't know Jesus, see the praises of God in the song service and message; They want to know Jesus Salvation. When Jesus love touches us and heals us of much, then we love God much. And God is our first love.

The church has been cold for a long time as a result of false teaching and adopting pagan traditions. Fortunately, there a few individuals who are on fire for God.
