Looking for toddler bed with full rails???

Question

Everywhere I look I either see beds that you can buy rails to add on to them or the toddler bed that has what I would say isn't even half a rail on each side of the bed.

What I'm looking for is a toddler bed that has the rail that runs the full length of the matress. It kind of resembles a crib, only it's a bed and the rails aren't as tall.

I know they have to exist, I've seen them before.

Can anyone point me in a direction???

I have a 19 month old son who hated his toddler bed. I put him in a full size bed. I bought SUMMER rails. I also took the bed out of the room. His mattress and box springs are now on the floor. It's just the right height and I don't worry about him getting down from the bed. About the rails..you can move them down so they are in the middle of the bed.
My son sleeps all night in his bed. He thinks he is a big boy now!!

My 2 year old sleeps in a toddler bed with rails that are not all the way to the end of the bed but it works just as fine. He has a cars bed from the movie. You can find it at Walmart.

All I can say is good luck! I wanted the same thing, because it's what made sense to me....but nope! I looked online, furniture stores, department stores, baby stores....everywhere! Finally.....I bought a toddler bed with no rails and added a bed rail. It seemed to be our only option. There is about a 12 inch section at the end of the bed (where her feet go) that isn't covered, but that works because that's where she climbs out of bed. Good Luck!

We bought a convertible bed/crib for our first. But we had to move her to a normal twin bed so her little sister could have the crib. When baby 3 came along, we couldn't fit 2 twin beds in the girl's room, so we put the second in a toddler bed in there and gave the baby the crib. When he was 2 1/2 and learned to jump out of the crib we thought "great, we'll convert the crib finally". Nope- he said "I want a big bed like my sisters!" So the convertible bed didn't work out very well for us.... All of our kids went into either a twin or toddler bed at 2.5 yrs, no problem.

This handmade toddler bed doesn't have full side rails, but it has only a small space in the middle of each side for the child to climb in and out. It's pretty different from the toddler beds you see in most retail stores. Perhaps it's more like what you're looking for.

Click that link to see the bed we have for our son (who's 3). It's actually a twin size bed with a ladder. The mattress ends up being about 33-36" off the ground (about your waist high), but there are raised edges the entire way around (like a crib). Under the bed is storage or a play area where he could build a fort. You don't use a box spring, just a regular mattress on a piece of plywood. If you decide to go with this bed, only order it from walmart if you live in a city where they'll ship to the local store for free, otherwise order it from homedepot.com, they have the cheapest shipping.

Wow...if you actually find what you're looking for let me know! I cannot find it either. My son is a wild sleeper and I just know that he'll be in and out of a toddler bed when I move him to one!
