Through out time, Catholics have persecuted and killed people. For example, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and monkey lovers (Atheist). But I heard that the Catholic Church is more concentrated on destroying the Protestant faith, is this true?

To KC SUPERSTAR: John Paul II also died in his sins without Christ. Accepting Evolution is rejecting Jesus Christ. The Catholics don't persecute here in the US, but a Catholic Priest in Honduras ordered a Hit Man to murder my friend's entire family because they followed God's Word to the utmost, and were showing the Hondurans how to get to heaven through Christ's sacrifice alone. Also, The Bible condemns many of the Catholics beliefs, but the Catholics don't read the Bible enough to see it, and they get mad when they're shown it. (I predict I'll get a dozen emails due to this entry alone). Search the scriptures to see if your teachings match Christ's. You will find that purgatory, penance, praying to Mary, the Pope being a "Christ" on earth, and working for salvation are NOT in the Bible.

Where are you getting this information? Seriously, I want to know, because I've never seen the Catholic church be "concentrated on destroying the Protestant faith". My mom is Catholic, and my dad is Protestant. No fighting there. My sister dated a few Protestant boys, no one had a problem with that. NO one in my church has ever said anything about Protestants.

And yet, when I see questions that confuse Christian as a whole to something practiced in the Catholic faith (let's say, confession) you can put money down that someone from teh Protestant faith will answer with, "That's not biblical and the only the Catholics do that and they're a cult!" So, you tell me who's out to destroy whom?

Uh, no, this is entirely false.

Catholicism has also recognized their mistakes in persecuting non-Catholics. The late Pope John Paul II visited Israel and asked God to forgive the Church for their crimes against Jews. Protestants are now referred to as "separated brethren." John Paul II also accepted evolution.

A couple of centuries ago that might have been true, but certainly not anymore. The Roman Catholic Church is, in fact, trying to reconcile differences and misunderstandings with its Chrisitian brothers and sisters.

The Church's current Ecumenical Movement has that precise agenda. Living in harmony with all believers is the goal.
But it is a deception. The church will not bend to underwrite any dogma, or teachings other than its own.

FOX'S BOOK OF MARTYRS is a great book for you to read.

Funny, the Vatican has apologized to the Jews for their role in the Holocaust. But the Vatican has yet to apologize to Bible believing Christians for the thousands of executions carried out by the church against those who refused to bow to the authority of the Pope.

The catholic church has tried to kill anyone not saying their prayers in latin for about 1000 years. They changed the mass to the language of the particular country and now they are confused as to who to kill. It is a very trying time for the church.

By all means, no. To do those horrible things would be completely against the teachings of Christ. I've got a few websites you might like that might answer your questions:

They are considered heretics. The Holy inquisition had as official mission to track them and burn them wherever they were hiding in order to eradicate this heresy.
It seems that the mission was not successful.
