If there is a law to have a dog on a leash that he is liable for any harm the dog casues. If you hit the dog and it left a dent then I woudl make the owner pay, unless the dog died because then I would just let it go. But if it caused you to hit an other car and the cops came then there you go, they can answer your question. The cops woudl coem if it was that seriouse. Hope I helped. = )

Well I do not know the leash laws there. But here if you hit a dog they pretty much treat as hitting a child. You should have your vehicle under control at all times and expect the unexpected. You hit the dog the dog did not hit you. You fix your on car and pay the vet bills .Simple thing to do . Treat it like a kid you see on the road. Slow down and steer around it.

Most areas have a "Control your dog" ordinance, so usually yes, the owner would be responsible to fix your damages.

well, you would probably have to work you're second question out with the owner.but.you're first question.ummmmmmmm.i think the owner should be responsible enough to keep his dog in his control.but if it happened,it probably depends on the age.
