Oily fishes, salmon, tuna and halibut. Strong in omega 3 oils. If you looking for a light meal also low in fats, cod, flounder and plaice are all good fishes(when trying to eat healthy and lose a few pounds). Bake and broil are the best ways to prepare. Another flavorful fish is sea bass. It just like flounder and plaice have lots of bones. The benefit for someone that is not accustomed to alot of bones is that salmon, cod, catfish and tuna are the easiest fishes to eat. Salmon, and tuna can be grilled, panfried and steamed. Don't cook too long otherwise they have a tendency to be dry(beyond appetizing.)

I'm not a fish fan either, but I like sushi. But that's too expensive to eat the recommended amounts. Shellfish does count.

I also found two recipes I like very much:

1) Take some white fish filets (any mild white fish filet will do). Roll and secure with a toothpick. Put in a baking dish along with julienned carrots and squash, and sliced onions. Add about 1/2 cup white wine and the juice of 1/4 lemon. Back at 350 about 20 mins or until fish is opaque.

2) Sautee salmon filet to medium doneness. Remove from pan. To pan add 1 pat of butter, 1 cup sliced mushrooms, and some rosemary (fresh is best), salt and pepper. When mushrooms are soft add 1/4 cup white wine and a squeeze lemon. Serve as is over salmon.

You may not enjoy fish because you have been eating very strong fish. Try milder flavored fish such as tilapia and orange roughy. mahi-mahi is also good. Try this fast, easy , tasty recipe.. This is for a single serving.

1 filet of fish
mayonnasise
bread crumbs
Parmesan cheese
lemon

Place a thin layer of mayo over the filet. Dust with very fine bread crumbs, and then dust with the Parmesan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes ( depending on size of filet.. may be less cooking time for a small filet). Don't overcook. It will be tough. You will not taste the mayo... it just keeps the fish from drying out . Squeeze lemon and enjoy.

all fish is good for you especially if it his grilled avoid frying fish it too fattening.I dont really enjoy the taste of fish as well and this is how i prepare it.
buy some fish fillets put them in a pan sprinkle with a little salt, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice and a dash of olive oil then on top of each piece of fish add a piece of celery (not too much Ive noticed that the celery seems to get rid of the fishy flavour )grill or bake in the oven it doesnt take long and is very good with a hearty green salad.
hope you enjoy it

Neon tetra's are a shiny fish, but they only grow to be a around 2". I like the Fancy Tail Guppies their colors are great and they give birth to live babies (You would need a place for the babies to hide or the parents will eat them). Another beautiful Fish is a red tail black shark, they grow to about 3-4" (they are not man eating sharks) Have fun with setting up the aquarium!

I make kind of a med sized chef salad at least once a week and add a four ounce can of tuna (packed in water drained.) then drizzle lightly with a red wine vinaigrette. Your first answer was the same as my next suggestion.
