I won't be doing a dance with my father when i get married and we are trying to have everything roughly planned out ahead of time so we aren't going crazy right before hand. I will be escorted by one of my uncles. One is my godfather and the other married to my aunt about 8 yrs ago but kindda took the role of father after my dad left. I'm having a very hard time with song selection because i'd want it to reflect the relationships i have with them. any ideas?

congratulations and good luck

Rascal Flatts' "My Wish" is perfect because it doesn't specify any relationship.

I hope the days come easy
And the moments pass slow
And each road leads you
Where you want to go
And if you're faced with the choice
And you have to choose
I hope you choose the one
That means the most to you
And if one door opens to another
Door closed
I hope you keep on walkin'
Til you find the window
If it's cold outside, show the
World the warmth of your smile
But more than anything,
More than anything

CHORUS
My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that
You want it to
Your dreams stay big,
Your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there gettin'
Where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish

I hope you never look back but
You never forget
All the ones who love you
And the place you left
I hope you always forgive
And you never regret
And you help somebody every
Chance you get
Oh, you find God's grace in
Every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything,
Yeah more than anything

CHORUS
CHORUS

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

My Wish-Rascal Flats. It is a country song but expresses the wish of having all that you want in life your dreams staying big worries staying small...etc I played it for a wedding a couple of weeks ago as the attendants were making their walk. It really is a good song

How about the song "I loved her first" I think it's by Heartland or something like that. It may be about a father and his daughter, but the way you describe your uncles, they stepped in and filled that roll for you. So I think this song would be perfect. (If you want to use it that is)

What about "I Hope You Dance" by LeAnn Womack? It may not completely reflect your relationships with those two uncles, but it probably reflects their wishes for you.
