I've had 2 -3 YIs over as many months. How can I prevent them? I've had them before (I'm 34), but not this bad. I just had a checkup and I'm very healthy. So that doesn't seem to be the issue. What do other sexually active women do?

You probably passed it on to your boyfriend and he keeps reinfecting you. He needs to be treated as well.

Several things. Make sure cleanliness becomes an obsession. Before intimacy make sure anything inserted is as clean as possible. Hands are a huge problem. Also try and urinate after intercourse. That can help to stave off a yeast infection. Lastly you may be having an alergic reaction to your mans sperm in which case you may need to use condoms at all times.

Hope this helps

to me when i get yeast infections i try not to have sex for at least a week or two after it clears up. you should also use the yeast infections products that work best for you and always remeber to keep yourself dry ex.buy feminine spray and wipes {summer's eve is really good} and always have your yeast infection medicane in your house so you can treat it as soon as you get an out break. And you should also use protection when you have sex with your boyfriend {if your not already}

It sounds really crazy but I was told by my gynocologist to urinate right after sex. Urine is sterile until it leaves your body, so relatively speaking, it's fairly clean. But there are tons of bacteria running around down there and when you have sex, they all get pushed around into other places and can cause YI's and UTI's.

Good luck!

You should both be treated and then refrain from sexual intercourse for (I believe) 14 days. Maybe 21. Ask a doctor. You two are just passing it back and forth.

Cranberry juice does help, but just a bit.

Peeing after sex is recommended, but talk to your gyno. Fortunately I don't have this problem.

One other thought..make sure HE washes down there! Eww...

Is the physician positive those are YI ? some women human beings are fairly allergic to their lover's semen. It manifests itself as itching and discharge. also, if he makes use of condoms, evaluate latex allergy. even if it truly is yeast, you would possibly want to examine to be positive you at the on the spot are not diabetic and also that your lover does no longer have a yeast an infection or different an infection. Antibiotics also make one weak. If none of those techniques help, you would possibly want to guage vinegar douches after sex.

Tell your boyfriend to start drinking cranberry juice, and have a leak before sex and after sex, helps to get rid of any germs that might be hanging around,

Your BF is banging someone else who has it and keeps spreading it back to you. He needs meds to clear it up! And you need to stay away from him until he does.
