It is common for nodes to swell in the groin area. The usual cause is a scrape or cut or some other inflamed area downstream from the node on the leg on the same side. If you've got an obvious sore on the same side, then it would be reasonable to treat that area and monitor the node to ensure it goes away after the wound heals. If it remains, gets larger, other nodes become inflamed or you develop other symptoms then you should head to a doctor without waiting.

Usually the lymph nodes that are worrisome aren't painful, are hard, and immobile. Though you might not "feel" sick, you very well maybe fighting some infection that you don't even know about.

I had a lymph node swollen in my neck for several months. It was hard, non-painful, and the size of a golf ball. Doctors were concerned it was lymphoma. After removing it completely in a biopsy, they discovered that it was just "reactive," and nothing to worry about.

Wait 2 weeks. Generally, if the swelling hasn't at least begun to subside after 2 weeks, go see your doctor and express your concerns. I would say don't worry about it at this point.

something probably happened to you that was so minor you have over looked it. such as having been scratched. it'll probably clear up on its own, but if it hasn't in a couple of weeks, I'd go see a doctor. home treatment would be to put warm compresses on it and try to massage it out about 4 times a day.
