These are obscure so I am putting them all here and if you can answer one please do.

1) I a myth about a creature that lives in above ground crypts similar to stupas. It looks like a corpse and wears clay armor. It waits for thieves to try to steal from it so it can feed, or to put on its armor and take its place. What is this creature called or where can I learn more about it.

2) Anyone know anything about a gold amulet that looks like the sun with little triangular rays comming off of it?

3) Legends about evil sadistic entities that keep thier word but always try to phrase things so they are not really bound. I have heard of raksasas, politicans, and attorneys :-) Any other names or know where I can learn about them?

4) I once saw a document that discused animal sacrifice, which I do not approve of. The document listed many animals and the relative energy/value of that animal as a sacrifice. Does anyone know about this?

Some of this might be babylonian or have to do with the asuras.

OK guys, forget about israel. They did NOT invent animal sacrifice. Some hindus DO sacrifice animals even today, the babylonians did it, and others. The issue of validity in regard to myths is moot. They are myths. These myths exist. I'm not asking IF they exist, I'm asking for more information on them. If you don't know anything about it thats fine but please don't comment.

None of those practice are part of the Eastern religions or philosophy's of Buddhism, Hinduism, or Taoism.

That Documentary held no validity or truth to it.
Be careful what you watch on Television.

Animal Sacrifice did not take place until Judaism came on the scene. But YHWH used animal sacrifice as the once a year means of forgiving the Isrealitites{His people) of their sins. Today, Judaism does not sacrifice animals though. Other conventional means are used.

And Christianity teaches that the old testament sacrifices were temporary sacrifices that took place until Jesus came on the scene, and was sacrificed on a cross, to forgive people for their sins, if they ask Him into their hearts, repent {turn away from, never returning to their sins again) of all their sins, and make Jesus as their Lord and Savior - serving Him forever more.

Hope this helps you some.

I am not familiar with any of these things in Eastern religions. Number 3 sounds a bit like a djinn or genie. Animal sacrifices is not part of Hinudism, Buddhism, Taoism, or Shintoism, to my knowledge. I've only heard of that in Western religions or varieties of vodun.
