I think the biggest mistake was listening to the serpent to start with, she should of taken Gods word at face value, and obeyed like so many of us today, still won't listen, even with the oldest book around to guide and teach us, the serpent is still at work, continuously.

It was just as much adams fault for eating the fruit as eves acording to scripture he was with her when she ate it and he did nothing to stop it and also proceeded to eat just as she did.
