The best way to cook a pot roast is in a slow cooker. A slow cooker keeps the meat very very tender. Put the roast in the cooker, put water or beef broth in as well. Enough to almost cover the meat. Add potatoes, carrots, peas or any vegetables you want. Cook for about 8 hours.

MOUTH WATERING SUPER EASY POT ROAST

1 pot roast that fits your slow cooker
1 can Cola "classic"
1 envelope of Lipton's Onion Soup Mix

Place a 3-4 lb pot roast in slow cooker (or large enough to fit the size of slow cooker you will be using).
Pour half an envelope of Lipton Onion Soup mix over the roast. Pour the entire can of cola over roast, and then top with remainder of soup mix.

Set slow cooker on high and cook for 4 hours. Turn pot roast over about half way through cooking time.

The meat falls apart - it's so moist! YUM!!!

I'm with Wifey05. Instead of brown gravy packet, I sprinkle one package of Lipton dried onion soup over the roast and then tuck carrots/potatoes/sliced onion around the roast. Seal roast and veggies in bag... allow a little space for steam to escape. Cook at 350 for 1 hr and 15 min. Careful when opening the bag. We don't want burned fingers!! Let roast rest about 20 minutes before slicing.

Slow cooker. Take 2 packets of french onion soup mix..you know, the lipton kind that you can make dip out of. put a cup of water or two in a frying pan, brown each side of the roast and take the drippins and put them in the slow cooker. Then put your roast and add the 2 packets of oinon mix. Then you can add veggies. Potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, any kid of veggies you want. Let it slow cook till its falling apart. It depends how big it is. Check on the package the roast came in and it should tell you how long to cook it. Good luck!

I don't know how country this is but it tastes good!

Roll your roast through flour (make sure it's coated well)

Heat about a TBS vegetable oil in skillet...add roast and BROWN well

Put roast in crock pot with a can of beer...and enough water to cover half way up the side of roast...throw in some onions, carrots and potatoes and simmer on low for about 6 1/2 hours.

Use an oven bag and put it in the oven. Rub the roast garlic powder, onion powder, sprinkle salt and pepper. Rinse some red potatoes and cut in half, add some baby carrots, green onions, also spinkle with a brown gravy packet and bake!! The bag makes it cook quick and it is so tender and juicy. your family will love it!! also if this doesn't help try allrecipes.com. I visted the website and there are tons of recipes there!! This is the way my mom cooks it -

She kind of makes a aluminum foil pouch and she puts the pot roast in the pouch in a shallow baking pan with cut up potatos and carrots and covers them with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and one packet of lipton onion soup mix. Then she closes the foil pouch and bakes it at 350 for a couple of hours. The meat and potatos and carrots get nice and tender and when the soup mix and soup combine with the juices from the meat it makes an incredible gravy.

This has never failed for me, one I work all day, so the oven is out of the question. Put a pot roast in your slow cooker on med heat. add your potatoes and carrots in, use one pkg of brown gravey mix, a couple of beef bouilion cubes, little onion and garlic powder, fill slow cooker with enough water to just cover all ingredents, come back 8 hrs later and you have dinner. Ask me how to make great Texas buscuits to go with it. Next question??

pot roast can be cooked without thawing(believe it or not).just rinse it and apply seasoning(minced onion ,black pepper, montreal steak seasoning, garlic powder(or minced),salt to taste. add 1/8" of water to a roasting pan ,place roast in a cold oven . set temp at 375degrees and let it cook 1hr:45min before you check it for tenderness. depending on the size it may be done. after 1 hr you can add potatoes onions and carrots to the pan.add black pepper and salt to the veggies and parsely.when the potatoes are done you can eat.(for gravy mix two tbspof flour in a med glass of water and pour over the roast with the veggies(optoinal of course) enjoy
